SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said an armed robber locked two employees at a Spartanburg Domino's Pizza restaurant in the freezer before getting away.

Spartanburg County deputies said about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, a man held up the restaurant at 2309 Reidville Rd.

Deputies said the two victims were cleaning up the closed store when a man, who was approximately 5'7" tall, came in and held up the store. The man was wearing a charcoal gray hoodie with white writing on the front and a red bandana over his face, deputies said.

One of the victims threw a pizza pan at the robber after he came in and jumped the counter, demanding money, according to a deputy's report.

That's when the robber pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot the worker, deputies said.

The robber took the money from the safe, the victim's cell phone then locked him and another worker in the freezer before fleeing, according to the report.

The victims told deputies they had to kick their way out of the freezer. Deputies said they tried searching for the robber to no avail.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
