CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Clemson University police have released surveillance of the truck they said may be connected to the vandalism of Howard's Rock.

Howard's Rock sits atop "The Hill" in the east endzone of Clemson's Memorial Stadium and was damaged sometime between 4 p.m. on June 2 and the morning of June 3, according to campus police.

Since news of the damage broke on June 2, police had not released many details about a possible suspect. But on Thursday, police released surveillance video they said shows the suspected truck arriving and leaving the east side of the football stadium on June 2.

The video is time-stamped and shows the truck pull up outside of the stadium just after 11:20 p.m. on June 2 then leave the scene just after 11:33 p.m. Watch the truck arrive here.

City surveillance cameras also have photos of the truck, according to police.

Clemson University Police Chief Johnson Link said the timestamp on the surveillance camera was fast, so they believe the truck arrived and parked by the stadium about 11:30 p.m. He said the video shows three people get out of the truck and they believe three people were involved in the vandalism.

The video shows the people walk towards the stadium and Link said they're following up on several tips they've received since the surveillance was released.

According to Link, the stadium's surveillance cameras were working the night of the vandalism and the video was from one of the gates, though police have not issued any video that shows the rock that night.

"We've taken a good hard look at the security that was in place that night and can assure folks that it's improved," Link said.

The university has a $5,000 reward available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever damaged the rock that the Clemson University Athletic Department raised from private funds.

Howard's Rock is considered an icon on Clemson's campus and to the football tradition, as coaches and players ceremonially rub the rock before running down the hill prior to kick-off at home games.
