GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Dispatchers said deputies responded to the report of a shooting in Greenville.

The driver said he was at a red light at Old Buncombe Road and Pete Hollis Boulevard when he heard gunshots, according to Jonathan Smith with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office.

Smith said the driver pulled over, got out of his vehicle and was injured. Deputies were at the scene looking for evidence and talking to potential witnesses but so far no one reported seeing the shooting, Smith said.

The driver was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, said Smith. Deputies said they do not yet know if the man's injuries were related from the shooting.
