Early Monday morning a man wearing a bandana over his face robbed a Kangaroo convenience store at gunpoint, according to Spartanburg Police.

Just after midnight the robber approached the woman working, slapped her on the buttocks and said "you know the routine," according to the report.

Police said the man then led the clerk to the register where he stole money and cigarettes.

The robbery happened at the store on East Main Street in Spartanburg, police said.

When police arrived they found multiple packs of cigarettes in the direction in which the man ran, according to the report. Police said they found a possible finger print on a box of cigarettes.
