TUNICA, MS -

(WMC-TV) - Caesars Entertainment Corporation announced it will rebrand the Paula Deen's Buffet at Harrah's in Tunica. The announcement comes days after Deen made a public apology for using racial slurs.

Despite the apology, Caesars decided not to renew its business relationship with the southern food connoisseur.

"While we appreciate Paula's sincere apologies for statements she made in her past that she recently disclosed during a deposition given in response to a lawsuit, after thoughtful consideration of their impact, we have mutually decided that it is in the best interests of both parties to part ways at this time," said Jan Jones Blackhurst, executive vice president of communications and government affairs for Caesars Entertainment.

A few days ago, a spokesman for Caesars Entertainment said they would monitor the situation but the buffet would stay open.

That is still the case, but the company will rebrand the four restaurants named after Deen.  A timeline for the changes has not been decided.
