After more than 35 years, motocross races in Southwick could become a thing of the past.
This Saturday's Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship may be the final professional event at the town's track, known as Motocross 338. The American Motorcyclist Association, and the track's promoter, Ralph Pittello, could not come to an agreement on future races.
Pittello says the track will continue to host the rest of this season's amateur events.
The American Legion post's executive board told CBS 3 media partner MassLive.com and The Republican that it is working to hire new track managers, and will try to bring the event back in 2014.
