GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies said what started out as a chase ended with a man dead early Friday morning.

Deputies said troopers tried to pull a driver over for speeding on Highway 124 just after midnight.

Instead of stopping, troopers said the driver took off and wrecked about a minute later near a railroad bridge on Page Drive.

Coroner Jeff Fowler said the driver was killed and two passengers were trapped. He said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

The driver was identified as 22-year-old Josiah Terry, of Easley, according to Fowler. FOX Carolina has not been told the condition of the passengers.
