24 indicted in Upstate meth ring

COLUMBIA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Twenty four people have been indicted in an Upstate meth ring, according to the Attorney General's Office.

Each of the people is charged with conspiracy to traffic more than 400 grams of methamphetamine, said Mark Powell of the Attorney General's Office. Some people will face additional charges, according to Powell.

Powell said the crime is a felony that is punishable by up to 30 years in prison, and a fine of $200,000.

The arrests are the work of South Carolina Law Enforcement Division(SLED), the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, the Pickens County Sheriff's Office and the Easley Police Department, according to Powell.
