MT. LEMMON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

UPDATE: U.S. Forest Service Officials say the blaze was an estimated 100 acres by 10 p.m. Sunday. The site, just west of "Prison Camp," is closed for the summer. No homes are being threatened and there are no known injuries.

Santa Catalina Ranger District responded to the fire on the Santa Catalina Mountains around 6 p.m. Strong winds and rugged terrain made it challenging for firefighters. Dozens of firefighters will continue to battle the wildfire throughout the night.

At this point, the cause is not known. There was lightning throughout the Tucson area all night.

Forest Service officials want to remind you that fire danger is still high. Smoking and campfires are prohibited on all forest service land, as well as fireworks.

A fire burned in the same area back in 2003 and was reportedly human caused.
