GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

About 11,000 riders are expected in the Upstate this week for Wing Ding 35, which starts Wednesday.

It's an annual trade show for the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, and they're back in Greenville for the first time since 2001.

Organizers said Gold Wing riders come from all over the country, and actually making it to the Wing Ding is a dream.

"I came here because I put it on my bucket list, and I'm 75, I don't know how much longer I can ride and this is close enough for me to come," said Robert Miller, a GWRRA member.

The three-day event itself is packed with seminars, advanced rider courses and full house of vendors, featuring the most tricked out motorcycles and every accessory a rider could ask for.

But the riders said it's their friendships with others that's the highlight of making a long drive to the Wing Ding.

"We get together once a year, we think of this as our family reunion," said Jere Goodman, director of GWRRA.
