Here is a list of events celebrating Independence Day across the Upstate and western North Carolina on Thursday.

July 4 Events

Asheville: Ingles Fourth of July Celebration, 4 to 9:30 p.m. at Pack Square Park

Easley: Celebrate America Festival, 2 to 11 p.m. at Old Market Square

Greenville: Drive baseball game vs. Savannah Sand Gnats, 6 p.m. at Flour Field

Greenville: Wells Fargo Red, White and Blue, 5 to 10:30 p.m. in downtown Greenville

Hendersonville: Fireworks display seen from downtown

Mountain Rest: Hillbilly Day, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mountain Rest Community Club

Newberry: Fireworks Celebration, starts at 6 p.m. at Newberry High School

CANCELED Pickens: Chris Sligh's concert is at 7:30 p.m. inside East Pickens Baptist Church and fireworks over Main Street at 10 p.m.

Seneca: Fourth of July Celebration, starts at 4 p.m. at Gignilliat Park

Simpsonville: Independence Day featuring the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, starts at 8 p.m. at Heritage Park

Spartanburg: Red, White & Boom, 6 to 10 p.m. at Barnet Park

Canceled/Altered events

Brevard: Fireworks postponed until July 6 because of weather.

Franklin: Fireworks in the Park is postponed until July 6.

Hendersonville: The Fourth of July parade has been canceled because of expected severe weather.

Pickens: The fireworks and events have been canceled. Officials say events will be rescheduled.
