Trouble-Making System Moving Northeast of Us: The unusually strong and slow-moving system which has been the spark for the heavy, tropical downpours during the last seven days is moving out. This is great news due to high river levels and also for the areas which have experienced flooding during the last several days.
Monday - More Scattered Storms: Spotty storms/downpours won't be as likely or as numerous tomorrow, but we'll still have a chance of dealing with some rain. That chance will stand at 40% for any particular town or city around here. Of course, this means there's a 60% chance you won't have to trudge through any rain tomorrow.
Also, expect some intervals of sunshine through the day, especially before the afternoon. Temperatures will be warmer than previous days as highs reach the middle-upper 80s in the Upstate and Northeast GA with highs climbing into the low 80s in Western North Carolina.
Tuesday & Wednesday: More sunshine will be the highlight of both Tuesday and Wednesday. Finally, we'll be able to get a break from widespread rain and enjoy some sun!
More sun will lead to higher temperatures to go along with already soupy humidity. Thermometers will reach the upper 80s to near 90° for Upstate towns and low-middle 80s for Western NC.
