ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Troopers are investigating how a vehicle got stuck in a sinkhole in Anderson County on Tuesday night.

The sinkhole is on Hattons Ford Road at Old Dobbins Bridge Road.

FOX Carolina crews on scene said the driver of the vehicle was not there but a crowd of neighbors are gathering around to see what happened.

This is the same sinkhole a Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative truck got stuck in on Tuesday. The road is closed to through traffic because of the hole, so it is not clear how the vehicle got through the detour.

Drivers are being detoured onto Old Dobbins Bridge Road and Cromer Road to avoid the washed out road.

The sinkhole formed after heavy rainfall damaged the culvert running underneath Hattons Ford Road, according to Anderson County officials.
