GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Lyman man has been arrested, accused of robbing a Greenville County Spinx store at gunpoint before robbing a second store minutes later, according to deputies.

Greenville County deputies charged 21-year-old Paul White III in connection with a July 10 robbery in Taylors.

Deputies said White entered the Locust Hill Road store, asked how much a carton of Newport cigarettes cost, and then after he was told, demanded money and the cigarettes at gunpoint before fleeing.

White was charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, said deputies.

Lt. Jim Holcombe with the Greer Police Department said that police issued warrants for White in connection with another armed robbery, which had not yet been served.

In the Greer case, police said White robbed the Spinx gas station on Wade Hampton Boulevard about 30 minutes after the Locust Hill Road store was robbed.

Deputies said evidence gathered, including video surveillance, led them to charge White.
