Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said they have made a second arrest in a fatal hit-and-run that happened in April.
The crash happened on April 22 on Lake Forest Drive in Spartanburg County. Troopers said a woman was hit by a car as she was walking down the road, and the driver of the car fled the scene.
Lance Cpl. Bill Rhyne said Kevin T. Miller, 32, of Spartanburg, was charged with accessory after the fact of a felony on Thursday.
Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger said 23-year-old Jacquelyn White of Spartanburg died about an hour after the crash at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Troopers arrested the driver accused of hitting White not long after the wreck. Colleen Casey, 25, was charged with hit-and-run involving death.
Casey has been held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center without bond since her arrest.
Murray Glenn, spokesperson for the solicitor's office, said two 911 calls were made after the wreck. He said the first call was accidental and during it, Casey and her boyfriend were heard talking about drinking and driving.
Rhyne said he was unaware of any relationship existing between Casey and Miller.
