Officials: Indecent exposure arrest made in Spartanburg

Posted: Updated:

A man who Spartanburg Public Safety issued a warrant for in connection with an indecent exposure incident is in custody, according to officials.

Jerry Lewis Davis, 54, is charged with one count of indecent exposure and another count of not registering for the sex offender registry, according to arrest records.

Investigators issued a warrant for Davis after an incident that happened at a Hot Spot convenience store on East Henry Street on the morning of June 30.

"He went into the store, I guess he approached the clerk and he exposed himself to her," said Capt. Regina Nowak with Spartanburg Public Safety.

Nowak said Davis spent some time in the store before he left, and the clerk later identified him through a photo line up.

Officials said a similar incident happened at the New Method Laundry and Cleaners on East Cleveland Street twice in June.
