Funeral planned for 1 of 2 Upstate families killed in AK plane crash

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Funeral arrangements are set for one of two Greenville families killed in an Alaska plane crash more than one week ago.

On Sunday, July 7, the Antonakos and McManus families had taken off from the Soldotna Airport but their taxi plane crashes minutes later killing the nine family members and pilot onboard.

Both families attended Christ Church Episcopal in Greenville where a memorial service was held on Friday and a funeral service for the Antonakos family is set for Wednesday.

A public visitation will be held for Milton "Melet" Antonakos, his wife Kim, and children Olivia, Mills, and Ana is set for Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, located at  6710 White Horse Rd.

On Wednesday, the public funeral will be at 11 a.m. at Christ Church followed with a burial at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Both families were vacationing together in Alaska when the plane crashed. Funeral arrangements for the McManus family have not yet been announced.
