ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson police said a man is in custody in connection with a shooting that sent one person to the hospital on Monday.

Lt. Tony Tilley with the Anderson Police Department said one person was shot in the leg, and brought to the hospital during the incident. He said the injury did not appear to be life-threatening.

Tilley said the incident happened on the 300 block of Dickens Avenue.

According to the police report, the victim and gunman had been arguing when he was shot. The victim went to a neighbor's home, where he was helped into an SUV to get to the hospital, police said.

On Tuesday, Tilley said warrants were issued for attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime for the suspect Deangelo Davis, 21.

On Thursday, Tilley said Davis was in custody.
