Police: Flip-flop swapping suspect wanted in burglary

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson city police are looking for suspects after a hotel room was robbed while the victims were sleeping, according to officers.

The victims noticed they had been robbed when they saw a pair of gray flip-flops that were not theirs lying on the floor and a pair of blue flip-flops missing, according to the report.

Police said the victims were robbed of the flip-flops, British pounds and credit cards among other things. The credit cards were use after the burglary, police said.

The incident happened at the Holiday Inn on Clemson Boulevard in Anderson sometime between the late hours of June 28 and the early hours of June 29, the report states.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked by police to call Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
