GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Jadeveon Clowney won the ESPY for "Best Play" Wednesday night.

The Gamecock's star Defensive End brought home the trophy for his hit on Michigan Running Back Vincent Smith in last year's Outback Bowl.

Clowney beat out New York high school miracle shot, a monster dunk by LA Clipper DeAndre Jordan, and Ray Allen's game saving shot for the Miami Heat.

Clowney's acceptance speech was short.

"This is a blessing to be up here man, I just want to thank God and my family, my friends, my teammates, and all the people for voting for me. Thank you,"  said Clowney.
