NEWBERRY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A family killed in an Alaska plane crash this month has been laid to rest Saturday.

A funeral service for Chris, Stacey, Meghan and Connor McManus was held in Newberry at the A.G.D Wiles Chapel on the Newberry College Campus. It was the same chapel Chris and Stacey McManus were wed many years ago.

Loved ones say the family was active in their church, Christ Church Episcopal in Greenville, and participated in many sports and family activities and loved to travel together. They say the McManuses loved life, adventure, and the outdoors.

The McManus family was killed while vacationing in Alaska with another Greenville family, Milton "Melet" Antonakos, his wife Kim, and children Olivia, Mills and Ana. The families were together on a taxi plane that crashed minutes after takeoff from the Soldotna Airport on July 7. All 10 people on board the plane, including the pilot, were killed.

A funeral service for the Antonakos family was held on Wednesday.
