GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A woman is in custody after Greenville County deputies noticed a stolen car which led to a short manhunt, according to a lieutenant at the scene.

The lieutenant said that as deputies approached a house on Gethsemane Drive Monday, which the stolen car was parked in front of, a woman fled out of the house carrying a bag.

The woman dropped the bag while running into the woods, which had a gun in it, according to deputies.

When deputies located the woman she refused to show her hands, so K-9s were released on the woman, biting her leg, according to the lieutenant.

The woman was taken to the hospital and will be charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and a weapons charge after her release, according to deputies.
