GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have welcomed a baby boy to the royal family.

The prince was born at 4:24 p.m., which is 11:24 a.m. ET. He weighed a healthy eight pounds six ounces.

With the welcoming of the new prince, we joined in on the fun. FOX Carolina teamed up with sponsor Bon Secours St. Francis to have our own Upstate baby watch.

The baby born closest to the date and time as William and Kate's baby was to be named "the Fox Carolina Royal Baby."

Little baby boy and FOX Carolina Prince, Dawson Lee Farrell Underwood was born at 8:50 a.m. Monday. He weighs in at six pounds nine ounces born to Tosha and DJ Underwood.

"I feel like we're royal just because we got him, doesn't have anything to do with money, we don't care about that stuff," said mother Tosha Underwood.

The Underwoods were featured on FOX Carolina News Tonight and received a gift bag of goodies.
