BULLOCH CO., GA (WTOC) -

Three men were arrested after the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office follows up on a tip on drugs possibly being used at a home.

Deputies in the STEP unit responded on Thursday to a home in the Burkhalter mobile home park on a tip that two brothers wanted by authorities were using methamphetamine, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies made contact with Jerry Morris Jr., 34, of Portal, and saw James Powell, 34, of Statesboro, run to the back of the mobile home. Powell was found inside and taken into custody.

Methamphetamine and marijuana were found in the mobile home, according to the BCSO.

Deputies discovered that a third person wanted by authorities, Michael Powell, 40, of Brooklet, had just left for Brooklet.

With the help of Brooklet police, Michael Powell was stopped and arrested for his outstanding warrant.

They were taken to the Bulloch County Jail for booking.

Morris is arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.

Michael Powell is arrested on charges of two counts of child support lockup orders and a superior court probation violation.

James Powell is arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, simple assault and obstruction.
