CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

A camper being pulled by a pickup truck burned to the ground Friday night on Interstate 16.

It happened on I-16 eastbound between mile marker 133 and 134.

A man from Tennessee was driving to Savannah to start a new job at Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. His wife told him she saw smoke coming from the camper as he was driving.

"We're strong. Like I said, as long as none of us is hurt. Everything can be replaced so we'll press on, as long as we live another day." said Chris Johnson, Owner of the camper.

The man immediately pulled over and unhitched the camper. No one was injured.
