More Ronnie Wilson items hit auction block this weekend

More items belonging to former Anderson County Councilman Ronnie Wilson are up for auction.

Wilson admitted to devising in a Ponzi scheme that swindled area investors out of millions of dollars.

Poinsett Auction in Travelers Rest will auction off three items that were givens as gifts to the embattled public official.

A wedding ring set with more than 1.5 carats of diamonds is for sale. Jewelers have valued the ring at over $17,000.

Also up for auction is an 18-foot Crownline power boat and a Yamaha Waverunner jet ski.

The auction will begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 27.

Proceeds from the sales will be redistributed to victims of the Ponzi scheme.

Wilson pled guilty to mail fraud in 2011 and is currently serving time in a Florida prison.
