GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies have confirmed the body found is that of a missing man.

Jim Key, 49, hadn't been seen or heard of since July 22, when he was clocking out at his work place at Pierburg Pump Technology in Fountain Inn.

Monday night, investigators said they were called to Northwest Middle school on Greer Highway in Travelers Rest, where they found Key's 2009 silver Hyundai Accent. Deputies say his body was located nearby.

After dogs searched the woods near the vehicle, they found a man's body hanging from a tree.  The coroner has not yet identified the remains.

Family said Key was reportedly "not acting like himself" at work the day he was last seen.

As the hours and days pass without any sign of him, his family has sworn not to give up. They formed several search parties throughout the county this weekend.
