Greenville County deputies said a man trying to sell his Mercury Cougar to a woman was left without his wheels when she carjacked him.
Deputies said about 8 p.m. Thursday, a man met up with a woman who was interested in buying his 1999 Mercury Cougar to go for a test drive.
As they were driving along, the man noticed a car following them, deputies said. As the woman turned onto Sharon Drive, she stopped at the intersection of Moody Lane and the car following them also stopped, deputies said.
The driver of that car approached the man and forced him out of the car at gunpoint, allowing the woman to drive off in the Cougar, according to deputies.
The man told deputies he had met the woman a few days earlier at the Li'l Cricket at Watkins Road and Sulphur Springs Road. Deputies said they had exchanged numbers because she said she was interested in buying his car.
The woman was described as between 40 and 50 years old.
Anyone with information about the carjacking is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME.
