'GameDay' coming to Clemson for Georgia game

CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The popular college football show College GameDay will head to Clemson for the start of the Tigers' football season on Aug. 31 against Georgia.

Clemson will host ESPN's College GameDay Built by The Home Depot's show for four hours for the first time.

The pregame show is hosted by Chris Fowler with Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack with other special reports from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The only time Clemson hosted GameDay in the past was on Oct. 21, 2006 against Georgia Tech.

The university did not say where on campus GameDay will set up, though in 2006 it was held on Bowman Field.

Game time for the Georgia game is set for 8 p.m. on Aug. 31.
