GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Paladins will be sporting some new threads this year. Furman's Athletic Department says the team was shown six new potential uniform combinations at their team meeting on Friday, which can be seen on their site.

The new uniforms were mostly funded by the Furman Football Players Association.

They're a group of more than 400 former players and associates who since 1999 have raised funds in support oft he program.

Furman's hoping for a turnaround season this year for Head Coach Bruce Fowler. He's 9-13 at the helm going into his third season.

The Paladins open the season on August, 31 at Gardner-Webb. It's unknown what jerseys they'll wear for the game.
