GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Flooding concerns will continue into the weekend for Upstate South Carolina and western North Carolina, as we remain in a stormy pattern, according to FOX Carolina chief meteorologist, Kendra Kent.

Saturday and Sunday afternoon will have a good chance of rain for the area, Kent said.

Kent said if the rain remains over one location for more than 30 minutes, that location could have flash flooding.

When it is not raining, it will be hot and muggy, Kent is forecasting. She said the heat index will get well over 90 degrees, during the late afternoons on the weekend.

It looks like this weather is here to stay.

Kent said she doesn't see a big change in the weather pattern, in the foreseeable future.
