ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson County deputies said a driver who rear-ended a Highway Patrol trooper's SUV along Interstate 85 Monday morning was ticketed.

About 9 a.m. the trooper's Chevy Tahoe was stopped along the inside lane of southbound I-85 near mile market 33 to help another driver, deputies said.

They said the SUV's emergency lights were on when a Chevy Trailblazer ran into the trooper's SUV.

The driver of the Trailblazer, identified as 25-year-old Shay Buffamoyer of Easley, was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital with injuries and was charged with driving too fast for conditions, deputies said. They said he was not wearing his seatbelt.

Drivers headed south along I-85 in Anderson County were stuck in traffic for several miles because the wreck blocked all three lanes.
