CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Clemson University officials said more arrests have been made in the Howard's Rock vandalism case.

A spokesperson for the university said Michael Rogers, 46, of Pisgah Forest and Alden Gainey, 17, of Brevard, were both arrested on charges of conspiracy and obstructing justice.

Officials found the iconic fixture that football players rub prior to running down the hill before football games vandalized sometime between June 2 and June 3.

On June 28, Micah Rogers was arrested in connection with the vandalism. Rogers was charged with malicious injury to real property and unlawful entry to enclosed places. FOX Carolina's sources say Micah Rogers and Michael Rogers are father and son.

Clemson University police said surveillance video from outside Memorial Stadium showed three people get out of the truck. They said they believed three people were involved in the vandalism.

Rogers released a statement on Friday that said:

"My determination to find the truth has resulted in me being charged with a crime that I absolutely did not commit. Unfortunately my role in trying to find the truth has led to these allegations."

Michael Rogers and Gainey were released on a personal recognizance bonds of $7,500, according to university officials.
