A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash Sunday morning on US Route 23, near milepost 2 in Wood County.
State Highway Patrol Troopers say the driver, 51-year-old Duane Baker of Fostoria, accidentally drove his Harley Davidson off the side of the road. Troopers say Baker overcorrected, causing his bike to overturn in the roadway. He was thrown from the motorcycle during the crash.
Baker was not wearing a helmet, according to troopers. He was lifeflighted to St. Vincent Medical Center.
An investigation into the crash is underway. It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash.
