UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said they went to a Union home to investigate a domestic dispute, but instead a man started arguing with them, leading to his arrest.

Union County deputies said they went to a home on Lockhart Highway about 8 p.m. Saturday after someone called to report the dispute.

While talking to 28-year-old Morgan Vinson, of Union, at the home, deputies said he kept asking why they were there. According to a deputy's report, they told him they were there about the dispute several times.

The report said Vinson became aggressive towards deputies, walked away from them then started yelling and cursing them.

Then deputies went to arrest Vinson on a breach of peace charge, but he resisted by pulling away and hitting an officer in the face with his elbow, breaking his glasses, according to the report.

They were able to restrain him and arrest him, the report said. Vinson was also charged with resisting arrest.
