GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville police said they charged two men in connection with the robbery and attempted robbery of two banks minutes apart on Monday.

Following the robbery and attempted robbery of two banks minutes and blocks apart on Monday, Greenville police said they pulled over a car and later arrested the driver and passenger.

Lt. Jason Rampey said Henry Lee Jr., 52, and Davius Pulley, 22, were both charged with two counts of bank robbery.

According to the arrest warrants, Lee tried to rob the BB&T Bank on Augusta Street at 11:27 a.m. by showing a note and demanding money, but the teller refused. Next the pair went to the SunTrust Bank a few blocks down the road, police said.

The warrants said Lee showed a deposit slip then demanded money, fleeing the bank with $615. He later admitted to both hold-ups, according to the warrants.

Pulley was driving the car and Lee gave him $20 of the $615 once he got in the getaway vehicle, according to the warrants. Rampey said they spotted the getaway car driving through Cleveland Park.

Both men are being held on $35,000 bond at the Greenville County Detention Center.
