LIBERTY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An Anderson woman is in jail after police said she tried to give drugs to a Pickens County inmate who was out on a work detail at the local airport

Liberty police said Jill Holter, 43, stopped by the Pickens County Airport on Thursday and came inside to ask about flying lessons.

Holter was holding a purse, a white plastic bag and was acting suspicious, according to the police report. The report said Holter went to the restroom and after a short time, she left and did not have the bag with her.

An airport employee went in the restroom and found the white bag hidden underneath the trash bag in the can, according to the report. Inside the plastic bag was 15 white pills, some synthetic marijuana and rolling papers, police said.

At the time of the incident, a Pickens County inmate was on work detail mowing grass at the airport, the report said. Police spoke with the inmate, who denied knowing the woman or getting anything brought to him, the report said. Police said the inmate was taken back to jail.

Holter was later arrested and charged with conspiring to distribute controlled substance and furnishing a prisoner controlled substance.
