GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Warmer temperatures and cooler nights could be in store for the weekend, according to FOX Carolina Chief Meteorologist Kendra Kent.

For the midweek, Kent said to watch for scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms through this evening, then a general clearing expected overnight with some fog.

Kent said afternoon storms will be possible for both Thursday and Friday, but rain coverage should be less than it was earlier in the week.

A cold front will sweep through the Upstate on Friday, and that will bring spotty showers and storms, but only a 30 percent chance for rain. Temperatures will be warmer, Kent said they could get into the upper 80s.

For the weekend, a cold front will stay and bring lower humidity and some cooler nights, Kent said.
