With 7 days to go until the beginning of the college football season, the Southeastern Conference has revealed the preseason coaches All-SEC team.
While the first, second, and third teams are dotted with players from Georgia, LSU, and Alabama, South Carolina is well-represented on the first team defense by junior defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.
It should be no surprise Clowney is on this team considering the amount of watch lists he is on as he prepares for his swan song season in Columbia.
Clowney's teammate Kelcy Quarles also finds himself on the list as a second-teamer.
As for offense, the Gamecocks have no players on the first team, but tight end Rory Anderson was listed on the second team.
Wide receiver Bruce Ellington is also on the team, but the coaches believe he is best suited as a first team and third team specialist.
The Gamecocks kickoff as the first game of the college football season on Aug. 29 against the North Carolina Tarheels.
