GRAY COURT, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A body was found on Bramlett Church Road in Gray Court on Friday, according to coroner Nick Nichols.
Greenville deputies said they are looking into the possibility that it is a missing person from Greenville County. Greenville County deputies said they are working with Laurens County deputies on the case.
The body was discovered when a man was clearing an overgrown pasture between 4108 and 4120 Bramlett Church Road for a woman who owns the property. The man thought he saw a mannequin in the field and called the woman's granddaughter to have her remove it.
When the granddaughter arrived with her fiance they discovered that it was actually a woman's body.
The coroner said the body had been there for several days.
On Friday afternoon, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division was called out to process the scene, deputies said. They said it is an ongoing investigation.
Deputies said there were no abandoned vehicles in the area.
There was an autopsy on Saturday morning, according to the coroner.
On Saturday the coroner said the body had not been identified, but they were trying to do so through dental records.
