It's been a couple of days now, but the sunshine is still here to stay! We woke to clear skies, some mountain fog, and some chilly temperatures in the middle 50s and low 60s this morning. With all the sunshine, it won't take long to get us into the upper 70s and mid 80s. However, despite the high pressure and warm temperatures, it's going to be a very comfortable day out there as humidity levels will be down around 30-40%. This also keeps us from building in those typical afternoon summer thunderstorms.
Tomorrow, high pressure will begin to weaken, but still be strong enough to keep us dry. Expect a few passing clouds Upstate, with partly cloudy skies in the mountains. A cool morning once again will give way to even warmer temperatures in the low to mid 80s all around. It won't be oppressive, but we'll start to feel a bit of humidity again.
Wednesday will bring a few changes, with a good mix of sun and clouds and a return of the heat in the upper 80s Upstate, and low 80s in the mountains. The building humidity and an approaching cold front from the north could spark an afternoon shower or storm, but this should be limited to the mountains. By Thursday, we briefly see a cold front pass bringing a few isolated storms (not all will see the rain) and then we're back to drier weather on Friday once again. Enjoy!!
