MAULDIN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An Upstate man is looking for his pricey motorcycle that was stolen out of his carport overnight. He wasn't home because he was at the hospital while his son was being born.

It sounds almost like a bad dream for new father Roy Sabean of Mauldin. He said that Tuesday night, his wife went into labor five weeks early and his son, Parker, was born at Spartanburg Regional Hospital.

But Wednesday morning, when he went to check on his house, he found that his $11,000 motorcycle was gone.

Neighbors told Sabean they saw the bike while they walked their dogs around midnight Tuesday night into Wednesday. He said he had the bike for about three years, and he's dropped a lot of time and money into the MV Agusta Brutale that he wants his son to be able to ride one day.

"[Now I] already have a new baby, but this was my 'baby,' you know what I mean?" said Sabean.

He said it's especially unique in the Upstate. He thinks there may be only one other like it in the Greenville-Spartanburg area, and thinks that bikers who have seen it would recognize it.

Mauldin police is investigating the case. Investigators said at this point they think it's an isolated case, but they're looking out for other robberies in the area and scouring Craigslist and Facebook in case the stolen bike is being re-sold.

If you see the motorcycle, you're asked to call Mauldin police.
