Deputies: Upstate Burger King robbed, suspects on the loose
An Upstate Burger King was robbed by two men just after midnight Sunday and the suspects are still on the loose, according to the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said it happened at the Burger King at Highway 153 and Highway 183 in Anderson County. They said two men wearing hoodies walked up to employees as they were leaving and ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Deputies said one the suspects was armed with a handgun.
According to deputies, a K-9 officer tried to track down the suspects, but the trail stopped cold. Deputies said no one was injured during the holdup.
