GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A deputy recognized a wanted man while at a Greenville County convenience store, so he chased the guy around until officers were able to stun him with a Taser, according to deputies.

Lt. Tim Ridgeway with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office said the undercover deputy was at the Lucky Mart on Shaw Street about 11 p.m. Wednesday when he recognized the man he had recently chased after.

When that man went inside the store, he followed him, but the suspect tried to run away and threw some drugs behind the counter, Ridgeway said.

Ridgeway said the man was so unruly, deputies were forced to shoot the man with a Taser.

Deputies identified the man as Dominick Johnson, 26, and said he was arrested on charges of possession of crack cocaine, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance and interfering with police.
