Boyd named Player of the Week

CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd was recognized by several organizations for his play on Saturday against Georgia.

Boyd was named National Player of the Week on Thursday by the Maxwell Football Club for his performance in the game against Georgia.

Boyd was also named ACC offensive back of the week by the Atlantic Coast Conference Sports Media Association.

Boyd has been named the ACC Player of the Week seven times, tying the school's record set by Keith Adams, who played from 1998-2000.

During Saturdays game Boyd completed 18 of 30 passes for 270 yards and three touchdowns against the fifth ranked Bulldogs.

Boyd has 94 career touchdowns rushing and passing.
