ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Highway patrol was called to a multi-vehicle accident on Marsh Creek Drive off of Dobbins Bridge Road in Anderson County.

Anderson County dispatchers said several ambulances were called out to the accident on Monday evening.

The crash involved a Chevy Suburban and a Jeep Cherokee. The SC Highway Patrol said the SUVs were both driving South on Marsh Creek Drive when they collided, sideswiping each other.

The Chevy swerved right, hit four parked cars and flipped, according to authorities.

Troopers said the Jeep swerved left and flipped.

One of the drivers and two passengers were taken to the hospital.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, but troopers said speed was a factor.
