LIBERTY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A getaway car was involved in a collision after a robbery at a convenience store on Tuesday night, according to deputies.

Easley police said there was an armed robbery at the 93 Quick Stop on Liberty Highway.  Police said two men with a gun walked into the store and fired a shot at the clerk during the holdup, but no one was hurt.

Police said the men ran out of the store and got into a car driven by a woman, and a description of the vehicle was sent out to deputies.

Deputies in Pickens County pulled over a vehicle that matched the description of the car, but when they approached it the vehicle sped off, according to police.

Deputies said they then chased the vehicle. When the suspect's car tried to maneuver around a corner to turn off of Highway 178 onto Ruhamah Road, the vehicle hit a power poll.

Three people were in the car and taken to the hospital, according to police.

Police said they were working on warrants and would release the suspects' names once they were released from the hospital. On Wednesday afternoon the suspects were still in the hospital.
