ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies are looking for a man they said shot another man several times at an Anderson apartment complex Wednesday.

Anderson County deputies said the shooting happened at Meadow Run Apartments on Abbeville Highway just before 10:45 a.m.

When authorities arrived at the apartment, they found the victim cleaning three gunshot wounds in the bathroom, according to Lt. Sheila Cole with the sheriff's office. Cole said he was taken to AnMed Health and was in stable condition after surgery.

Initially, witnesses said they saw the suspect flee into a nearby apartment building, Cole said.

So deputies cordoned off apartment buildings F, G and H to execute search warrants. During the search, deputies said they noticed an attic area in one apartment that looked tampered with so after searching, they brought in canines and a thermal imaging system but did not find the suspect.

Following a photo line-up, deputies said the victim identified 21-year-old Freshun R. McIntosh as the suspect. Cole said they issued warrants for attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

She said McIntosh is considered armed and dangerous. She said she did not have a photo to release of him.

Anyone with information about McIntosh's whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office at 864-260-4400 or Crime Stoppers 1-888-CRIME-SC.
