WALHALLA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Three people have been charged after a traffic stop led to deputies discovering several stolen firearms, according to Oconee County deputies.

On Thursday afternoon, deputies said they pulled over a Kia along I-85 after it failed to yield while attempting to merge. When deputies went to the car they smelled marijuana and searched the car after the driver consented, deputies said.

In the car deputies found numerous cell phones, a glass pipe and multiple semi-automatic pistols, they said.

Deputies said the weapons were reported stolen and a woman in the car said they had received the weapons from a man at the gas station. Deputies said multiple vehicles had been broken into in Jackson County, Georgia the previous night and some of those items were in the car.

James Hardy, 29, Jerry Lee Eaton Jr., 22, and Cassidy Seyda, 17, were charged by Oconee County with receiving stolen goods, deputies said the goods were stolen from Jackson County, Georgia.
