TAYLORS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The family of a slain Upstate teen said they are praying for an arrest as they prepare to bury 15-year-old Trayvon Dodd.

"He was just a lovable boy, and this has been horrible for our whole family," said the victim's great aunt, Connie Dodd.

Greenville County deputies said Dodd's body was found in the backyard of a Taylors home Wednesday.

Coroner Mike Ellis said the boy was shot once, and ruled Dodd's death a homicide.

So far no arrests have been made in the case and no suspects have been named. Deputies said a resident at the home Dodd's body was found at was taken into custody, but was not arrested or charged.

Dodd's great aunt said she wants to see whoever killed her nephew to be brought to justice.

"I want to know who did this, and why it happened, because whoever did it should have had no reason to take (Trayvon's) life." Connie Dodd said. "He didn't deserve to have his life taken away."

Dodd said visitation services for Trayvon will be held Sunday night at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary on Augusta Street. Services start at 6:30 p.m.

Dodd said the public is invited to a funeral service Monday at 2 p.m. at Changing of the Minds Ministries on Edwards Road in Taylors.

Deputies have not yet released details on the circumstances surrounding the teen's death.
